In addition to counseling services and the art gallery – Art Talk has partnered with Dr. Talia Barron of Newport Neuro to provide a wide range of professional mental health services. We pride ourselves on the comprehensive and compassionate approach we provide to all our clients.

Newport Neuro specializes in Neuropsychological assessment services and administers the gold standard in diagnosstic assesment and intervention.

    Meet Dr. Talia Barron, Psy.D

    Dr. Talia Barron is a clinical psychologist licensed in the state of Rhode Island and Florida. She received her BA from the University of Florida, and Master’s and Doctoral degrees from Nova Southeastern University.

    Dr. Barron utilizes a methodological approach to formulate her integrated evaluations. Referrals commonly include concerns pertaining to academic readiness, attention and concentration difficulties, behavioral concerns, developmental delays, giftedness, mood disorders, and specific learning disorders. Dr. Barron’s specific feedback aids in diagnostic clarification, and includes remedial and prescriptive recommendations that are provided to best meet the needs of individuals in both the home, and in educational and occupational environments.

    Dr. Barron has diverse experience delivering many of the evidence-based interventions she recommends. She has training in early intervention, parent-child, parent-teen, and group interventions for individuals presenting with emotional and behavioral concerns. She has also conducted numerous social skills groups in community-based and educational treatment settings. In addition to her practical experience, Dr. Barron has taught graduate courses in intervention, integrated report writing, and social and cultural foundations of counseling, and has supervised others conducting evaluations, individual and group therapy, and in case management.
